Virat Kohli has retained the top position in Test cricket in rankings for batsmen. A list released by ICC on Tuesday points the Indian cricketer is leading the chart with 922 points.
The all-rounder is 9 points ahead of New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson who is at 881 points. At the third place is Cheteshwar Pujara.
Separately in the ICC Test all-rounders’ rankings Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadesa is positioned at the third place. The top two are West Indies’ Jason Holder and Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh.
The team India too retained its top position. The second in the ranking is New Zealand and it is followed by South Africa. The fourth and fifth places are grabbed by England and Australia.
The ICC bowlers’ list has placed Jadeja at the sixth position and Ravichandran Ashwin at 10th.
Veteran England pacer James Anderson is ranked second while his fellow fast bowler Stuart Broad takes the 19th position. Moeen Ali is placed at the 25th place.
Stuart Thompson is the highest-ranked bowler of Ireland. He is placed in the 64th place. His fellow team mate Kevin O’Brien is at 68th position while Gary Wilson is placed at 140th in the ranking list.
Kevin O’Brien scored 40 and 118 on debut against Pakistan in the World Cup.
