Winter is just around the corner and with winter flu, cough, and a lot of health problems come along. But if you want to get through the period without being scratched here is one magical vegetable for you.
Carrots. Carrots are consumed for various health benefits from skincare to eyesight should be taken especially to control cholesterol levels.
Carrots are high in beta-carotene levels. Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign have shown that beta-carotene can be converted into vitamin A in our body and play a key role in eliminating bad fats in the blood.
It is also very good for heart health. Experts suggest that it is rich in fiber, antioxidants, calcium as well as vitamins and minerals that help in weight loss, digestion, eye health, and skin-health benefits. Carrots can be eaten not only as a salad but also in the following ways if you are bored with the traditional way of eating it.
Carrot – Orange Detox Drink
Two carrots and two orange fruits should be juiced separately. Then mix the two in a glass and add turmeric, lemon juice, and 2 tbsp ginger paste per tablespoon.
This solution keeps the body active throughout the day without removing wastes if taken in the morning.
Carrot Soup
Add two tablespoons of olive oil and chopped ginger pieces to the carrot-ginger soup. Then add half a cup of chopped onion, sliced carrots (6 large), a teaspoon of salt, a cup of water, and cook until softened. Then pour the water into a bowl and add the carrots to the mix and grind finely. Add the soaked water to this mixture and stir until it thickens on the stove.
Soup is ready if you add pepper powder and salt at the rate of one teaspoon! This soup helps in maintaining your health in winter.
Carrot Crackers
Add flour to a bowl, mustard powder, butter, cumin, carrot, cheese, water, egg yolk, and knead the dough. After 30 minutes, knead the dough and cut it into round biscuit sizes. Carrot crackers will bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown! Eat it in the form of snacks.
