The UK reports 7 death, 30 blood cloth cases related to AstraZeneca jab

LONDON: Seven people have died of blood clotting problems after being vaccinated with the Oxford AstraZeneca Covid – 19 vaccines in the UK, according to the UK Drug Enforcement Administration.

As of March 24, 1.81 million people had been vaccinated and 30 had developed blood clots, seven of whom had died, according to the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).

The agency said it was common for billions of people to be vaccinated and to have side effects.

The vaccine is extremely safe and can be used safely by anyone. Antibodies are being produced well with this vaccine.

An investigation is underway into whether the blood clotting problem was caused by the vaccine alone or whether any of them had any health problems.

In addition, the British Society for Hematology has issued new medical guidelines for doctors amid the raising concerns that the Blood clotting cases might be associated with a condition called thrombocytopenia.

It is known that the AstraZeneca vaccine is being manufactured by the Serum Institute Covishield in Pune, India.

So far no side effects have been reported in India with this vaccine.

Concern regarding the AstraZeneca covid-19 vaccine has led to the restricted use of the vaccine by certain countries including Canada, Germany, France, and the Netherlands.

Although, the World Health Organisation urged countries to use the jab further.
