Donald Trump, the former President of the United States, a dreadful political career, and a successful business magnate have worked tirelessly to come up with his own social media app “The truth social app”.
Trump was banned indefinitely from Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube after the Capitol attack by his followers. The tweets and videos of him provoking people went viral after and people started accusing the social media platforms of letting Trump spread hate and provoke an attack.
Trump has long accused social media platforms CEO of discriminating against him and treating him unilaterally. Today, he released an app called Truth Social from his company to compete with social media giants.
Trump has made a number of comments on Facebook and Twitter criticizing the conduct of the US presidential election in late 2020. Criticisms, however, came from all sides that the comments were provocatively hateful.
Twitter and later Facebook announced that Trump’s comments were contrary to their rules. Took action on Trump’s account and banned him indefinitely.
Trump was outraged when Twitter and Facebook took action on his posts. With this, Trump founded the Media and Technology Group in October 2021. The group recently created the Truth Social App. It was made available on the evening of February 20, 2022, on the Apple App Store. It has been announced that the app will be available to everyone on all platforms by the end of March.
Daily social media platforms Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and WhatsApp is now Trump’s target. He is expecting his app to compete with these. If this app can be user-friendly this app is sure to create a sensation with the financial assets that Trump has.
But considering his reputation in America and amongst others, it is highly unlikely for people to use this app in large numbers.
