Rail services have now been completely resumed from Srinagar to Banihal in Kashmir Valley after more than three months of suspension due to security reasons.
A railway official said just one run was scheduled for Sunday but there would be two runs from Monday onward.
Ahead of resuming the services completely the Railways conducted two trial runs on Saturday.
Last week the services resumed partially and the train chugged between Baramulla and Srinagar.
As of now the trains will play between 10 am 3 pm for security reasons.
Train services in the Kashmir Valley were suspended on August 3 due to security reasons and ahead of the August 5 announcement of Centre to abrogate Article 370 that provided special status to the former state of Jammu and Kashmir. Internet services and pre-paid mobiles phones too were shut. Several politicians and activists including Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti were detained.
Meanwhile, the weekly flea market in Srinagar witnessed a huge customer rush. Few mini buses, cabs and auto-rickshaws too were seen plying on some routes.
