Some forty kilometers from Tanzanian commercial capital Dar es Salaam six African countries laid the foundation stone of leadership school on Monday with a groundbreaking ceremony attended by high level officials from the southern African region.
Co-founded by six parties in southern Africa, the Julius Nyerere Leadership School is located at Kibaha.
The six parties which have taken the initiative to launch such a great school are Revolutionary Party of Tanzania, the African National Congress of South Africa, the Mozambique Liberation Front Party and the People’s Movement for the Liberation of Angola, the SWAPO Party of Namibia and the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front.
The honored guests who attended the ceremony included general secretaries of the six parties as well as Song Tao, head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Tanzanian President John Magufuli and general secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping.
In his address Jinping said all the six parties which have laid the foundation stone for such a school are important forces to lead economic construction and national liberation too in their respective countries.
He added further that it is important to build the Julius Nyerere Leadership School jointly as it is an important move by the parties in the region to strengthen their self-construction.
Meanwhile, Tanzanian president John Magufuli said, “CPC stood side by side with the six parties in southern Africa in their struggles for national independence and liberation and nurtured profound friendship.”
