Following allegations of sexual harassment by singers Shweta Pandit, Neha Bhasin and Sona Mohapatra music composer Anu Malik stepped down from Indian Idol 11 as a judge. He insists to be taking a break but sources add Sony TV will soon be replacing him.

Talking to couple of entertainment dailies Anu Malik said he will be out from the show just for three weeks as a break and he will return back after his name is cleared.

Similarly, last year too he was replaced in the show by Javed Ali following #MeToo allegations.

Singer Sona Mohapatra said it is a symbolic victory for her even though Sony TV took a longer time taking such action.

She addressed an open letter to Union Women and Child Development Minister on Thursday mentioning that the TV channel is turning a deaf year to testimonials of several women against the music director.

Following the letter a notice was served to the channel by the National Commission for Women and simultaneously it was shared on its official Twitter page too.

Earlier, Anu Malik denied all such allegations against him saying he is being cornered for such thing which he has not done and he may take legal action against it.

He said the claims of singers are unverified and false.

Sona Mohapatra also lambahed Neha Kakkar, Vishal Dadlani and Sonu Nigam for supporting Anu Malik.

Veteran singer Alisha Chinai too had earlier accused the music director of molesting her while she was shooting for her track Made In India.
