Sidhu's Criticism In India Is Like Obstacle To Peace: Imran Khan 1

Is it an obstacle to the path of peace between two neighboring countries India and Pakistan following the meet of two former cricketing stars in Rawalpindi on August 18.

A controversy has taken birth in India with the hug of cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Sidhu with Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa during the oath taking ceremony of former cricketer Imran Khan as the next prime minister of pakistan.

According to Khan the attack on Sidhu in India is doing a great disservice to peace.

His tweet today read, “He was an ambassador of peace & was given amazing love & affection by ppl of Pakistan.”

Earlier this week, Sidhu said in a press conference that hug with Bajwa came from an emotional place. He compared his visit to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visits to Pakistan and also the same for Atal Bihari Vajpayee when he was the PM.

Meanwhile, lawyer Sudhur Ojha from Indian state of Bihar has filed a case against Sidhu for insulting Indian Army by hugging Pakistan Army Chief.

About his invitation Sidhu earlier said Imran Khan made a phone call to him and they had talked for couple of minutes and there were congratulation and conveying of best wishes in between.

He mentioned Khan has the ability to lead from the front and it would be new beginning in the relationship of India and Pakistan after he becomes the prime minister.

The general elections in Pakistan were held on July 26 and political party of former cricketer-turned politician Imran Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), emerged victorious winning 116 of the 270 seats.
