Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks has been tested positive for the covid-19 (coronavirus), along with his wife Rita Wilson, Hanks revealed on Wednesday.
Tom Hanks is currently working on an untitled movie based on Elvis Presley in Australia. Baz Luhrmann is directing the film, and the production studious is Warner Bros. Hanks is meant to play the role of Colonel Tom Parker, a long time manager of Elvis Presley.
Hanks declared on his twitter and Instagram about this. His complete statement was, “Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia,” he wrote. “We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the coronavirus, and were found to be positive.”
“Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?”
“We’ll keep the world posted and updated. Take care of yourselves! Hanx!”
The Elvis film is nowhere close to being released, though; the date for the release is October 2021. Before that, hanks has a total of three movies that are set to be released in 2020.
