No attack threat to India following US troop withdrawal: Taliban

Taliban spokesperson Mohammad Suhail Shaheen said there has been no solution of military approach by United States in Afghanistan for past eighteen years and so President Donald Trump need to come to table to sign peace agreement.

Talking further he reasoned out why the Kabul administration was not involved in the peace talks. He rationalized that the Afghan issue is divided into two parts and the important one is external under which the deal would be withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan. Second is the internal issue of the country.

When asked by the CNN-News18’s Zakka Jacob about whether the Taliban fighters would be diverted to India after the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan he questioned why such as they need to reconstruct their own country after the liberation.

Mohammad Suhail Shaheen added that Afghanistan would thereafter try to have a relation with other countries in order to develop and reconstruct the country.

He further said his new government will not have a policy of interference in any other countries but to have good ties with every global partner.

He was asked how much influence does Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has over Taliban and bringing them to negotiating table.

He said Taliban is already in the negotiation table for about a year amid nine rounds of talks with negotiation team of the US.

He claimed the peace agreement would have been signed by now if Trump had not called off the negotiation abruptly very lately.
