We are all aware that the petrol prices have been rising for the last 10 days.
Rising prices can be reduced if state governments think about it.
The best example of this is the Meghalaya government. It has reduced the price of both petrol and diesel by almost Rs 7.
The Meghalaya government has taken a key decision to give relief to the common people.
This was announced by the Chief Minister of the state, Conrad Sangma himself. “We made this decision to soothe the customers,” he said. At present, the price of a litre of petrol in Meghalaya is Rs 91.26 and diesel is Rs 84.23.
Rs.5 cutdown has been announced by Chief Minister Conrad Sangma. he also added there will be slight changes in prices district-wise.
Earlier, the Meghalaya government had said it has been reduced to 2. It is safe to say that the supply was low and demand was high.
However, the petrol and diesel price have been on the rise across the country for the past few days now. Petrol is already priced at Rs. 100 mark crossed.
In Hyderabad, petrol price has gone up by 26 paise to Rs 93.10 per litre and diesel by 27 paise to Rs 87.20 per litre. In Vijayawada, the petrol price was reduced by 71 paise to Rs 95.12 per litre. Diesel price was reduced by 62 paise to Rs 88.74 per litre.
In Delhi, the price of a litre of petrol has gone up by 25 paise to Rs 89.54 per litre. Diesel price also rose by 25 paise to Rs 79.95 per litre. In Mumbai, petrol price was hiked by 25 paise to Rs 96.00 per litre and diesel by 26 paise to Rs 86.98 per litre. In Chennai, petrol was priced at Rs 91.68 and diesel at Rs 85.01. In Kolkata, petrol was priced at Rs 90.54 and diesel at Rs 83.29. In Bangalore, petrol was priced at Rs 90.78 and diesel at Rs 83.54.
