Its a new and significant milestone for Ravindra Jadeja in this season of Indian Premier League. He reached the mark of 100 wickets on Thursday and became the 13th bowler in the tournament’s history.
In the first place is Lasith Malinga with 157 wickets in IPL while Amit Mishra stands at second with 149 wickets.
The other bowlers in 100 wickets club are:
PP Chawla
DJ Bravo
Harbhajan Singh
B Kumar
R Ashwin
SP Narine
UT Yadav
A Nehra
R Vinay Kumar
Z Khan
R A Jadeja
The average of Jadeja is 18.85 out of 24 overs in seven matches. This season is his best in IPL and probably he would make it the most successful season ever.
Earlier this week Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi said the IPL is an ideal tournament where players become habituated of playing with pressure at the World Cup.
He said, “If you play these kind of pressure games before the World Cup, it will help a lot in the tournament against top opposition teams. It is a white-ball format after all. Yes, it is a change of format, but you can adjust easily to the 50-over game.”
