Bangalore: An Indigo flight from Lucknow to Bangalore escaped a major accident. Panic ensued as the cabin suffered depressurisation a few moments before landing.
However, the pilot and crew were alert and the plane landed safely. So, far there is no injury or death reported.
According to the latest reports, the Indigo flight was 240 km away from Bangalore, at an altitude of 11,000 feet, when the cabin of Indigo Flight 6E-6654 airbus suffered depressurisation.
The flight crew declared an emergency alarm. Passengers were immediately deployed with oxygen masks.
The captain immediately contacted the Bangalore Air Traffic Control and asked for the landing clearance which was instantly provided.
The crash was averted as the plane landed safely with their permission. The aircraft is currently being inspected by a Bangalore technical team.
Also, the matter has fallen into the hands of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation for investigation.

If there is a cabin depressurisation problem, an emergency signal should be given ‘May Day’ or ‘Pan Pan’ from the crew.
And the flight must descent to 10,000 ft or the lowest safe altitude and must land with the permission of the relevant ATC authorities. Oxygen masks should be deployed to all passengers.
In May last year, the pilot was delivering a message just one minute before landing near Karachi airport in Pakistan. But unfortunately, the plane crashed into a residential area and more than 90 people lost their lives in the crash, leaving a devastating impact.
