India’s iconic Bollywood actress Sridevi has passed away at the age of 54 Saturday night in Dubai, UAE, on a trip to attend the wedding ceremonies of Mohit Marwah. The news came as a huge blow fans, followers and other stars. Celebrities including her Khuda Gawah co-star Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to express grief.
The untimely death of Sridevi came as uneasy feeling to Bachchan as he tweeted Sunday morning about feeling uneasy before the news broke. The co-star mentioned don’t know the reason of his uneasiness.
It is yet to be confirmed whether his uneasiness was followed by any information of Sridevi’s death.
According to Sridevi’s brother-in-law, Bollywood actor Sanjay Kapoor the legendary actress died at around 11.30 pm in IST in Dubai.
Talking to the media Sunday morning he said, “Yes, it is true that Sridevi passed away. I just landed here, I was in Dubai and now I am flying back to Dubai. It happened roughly around 11.00-11.30. I don’t know more details yet.”
Meanwhile, fans and celebrities have taken the Twitter to mourn the demise of Sridevi, who has been into the acting career from age four. People have also gathered outside her Mumbai residence to pay tribute.
A fan added, “We are shocked and still cannot believe the news of her death. Very saddened and pained by her demise. Her acting skills were remarkable.”
