Indian airlines like IndiGo, SpiceJet, and Vistara have issued warnings for flights to and from Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi due to the anticipated bad weather. IndiGo and SpiceJet have advised passengers to check flight statuses before heading to the airport, while Vistara has urged travelers to allow extra time for their journey due to expected traffic congestion.
Emirates airline announced flight cancellations on May 2 due to the weather, affecting routes between Dubai and destinations such as Istanbul, Johannesburg, Nairobi, Cairo, Amman, and Singapore. Passengers affected by cancellations have been offered waived rebooking charges to assist with alternative travel arrangements.
While these rains are not expected to be as severe as recent unprecedented downpours, caution is advised. Last month, Dubai experienced its heaviest rains since 1949, leading to significant disruptions across the UAE.
