Former chief minister of Indian state Uttarakhand, Harish Rawat, said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would not succeed in building the Ram temple in Ayodhya and based on the decision of apex court the Congress party would be constructing it.
While briefing to media people in Pauri Garhwal district he alleged the BJP would fail because they are sinners and they have violated order too. They have no regards for ethics as well as dignity and hence cannot be the devotees of Lord Ram.
Criticizing his comments Uttarakhand leader of opposition Indira Hridayesh said in such case Congress party could have built the temple during their 10 years in power.
He said even though everyone is in support of building the Ram temple, one should not claims such which cannot be fulfilled as Congress party is currently not in power.
Rawat clarified saying, “I had said that an environment of constructing Ram Mandir would be created in the country if the Congress comes to power.”
Meanwhile, Uttarakhand BJP president Ajay Bhatt said the farce claim is just a ploy to mislead people as Congress party itself is the biggest obstruction in the matter.
Reacting to the sinner label of Rawat he said Congress is synonymous to the word as the party is full of crimes like anti-Sikh riots and implementation of Emergency.
