BREAKING: Trump takes U-turn; No national emergency risk
United States President Donald Trump has taken a back step from the much speculated would-be-announcement of national emergency to obtain fund of $5.7 billion for the construction of US-Mexico border wall.
It is learned Trump’s own lawyers and advisers suggested national emergency would nto justicy the purpose and legal questions could be raised.
According to Senator Marco Rubio of Florida if today such a step is taken for border security, tomorrow there will be a call for national emergency for climate change too.
Rubio is one of the well known critics over the idea of national emergency for the sake of funding border wall.
Republican, Senator Mitt Rommey of Uttah, said national emergency declaration should be reserved for the most extreme circumstances.
Aides of Trump lately revealed he has grown increasingly frustrated over the refusal of Democrats to compromise and approve about $5 billion fund for the border wall.
Meanwhile, the partial government shutdown has stepped into fourth week and it seems Speaker Nancy Pelosi and senators have become immune to the threats of Trump.
National emergency was a part of the threats of the president.
Meanwhile, Stephen K. Bannon, former chief White House strategist, said if the shutdown is a crisis, treat it like a crisis and best option is to declare national security emergency.
Lately Trump traveled to border area in Texas to dramatize his support for a wall.
He said, “There’s some compromise needed.”
