Yangon:  The military in Myanmar has once again demonstrated its brutality against protesters as it celebrates Armed Forces Day.

 Gunfire rained down on protesters by the military to exhibit their power.

 One of the independent groups in Myanmar said more than 93 people had been shot by the military as early as Saturday afternoon.

A nationwide movement is erupting against the military that overthrew the government and seized power in Myanmar on February 1.

Yesterday could be the bloodiest day since the coup started.

Troops indiscriminately opened fire on protesters in 12 towns, including Yangon and Mandalay, to quell the movement with steel feet.

 Myanmar Sees Bloodiest Day Since Coup

 Tragedy struck when a five-year-old boy was killed in a shooting in Mandalay. More than 6 children from the age of six-to-thirteen have been killed by the Junta.

Moreover, rebels in eastern Myanmar said that late Saturday after the rebel group had captured the military base, they were targeted through airstrikes.

The action marked the first air attack since the military took over, against the Fifth Karen Brigade, which is one of the largest armed groups in the country, claiming to serve the ethnic Karen community.

 Protesters have warned that Myanmar citizens will continue to fight until the military steps down, despite fears they could be subdued.

 “We are being burned to death. Soldiers are also infiltrating our homes. ” This is the first time this level of firing has taken place since the military seized power. A total of 400 innocent people has been killed since the coup.

Myanmar sees the bloodiest day since the coup

The junta reported that eight foreign delegations attended Saturday’s event, including those from China and Russia, with Russian deputy defense minister Alexander Fomin seen in the audience on state television.

 On the other hand, Military Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing justified the act by stating they were protecting the people.

He said elections would be held freely and transparently soon and power would be handed over to the newly elected government.

Myanmar people protesting against the coup

Armed Forces Day was a nightmare. The European Union delegation in Myanmar criticized the measures as “unjustifiable”.

The UN called it a “mass murder”, top military officials of the US and many other countries have condemned the Junta’s act in Myanmar on Saturday.
