Washington: President Joe Biden does not want the H1B visa ban imposed by the former president to continue.
As Trump’s ban on the order expires on Wednesday, Biden is reportedly considering not to renew it.
The ban has made it difficult for many tech companies to hire foreign professionals.
Experts have analyzed that the latest ban to be lifted by Biden is a good sign for tech companies.
However, the White House has not yet made an official statement on the matter.
Some officials, however, say the immediate lifting of the ban would not be good for American companies and should therefore be lifted slowly.
Biden’s reversal of Trump’s decision not to issue new green cards due to coronavirus.
Biden commented that these decisions were negative for the United States and the economy.
The United States has also announced that the H1B Foreign Worker’s visa limit has been completed for the coming fiscal year.
It said it had received enough e-applications during the preliminary registration period and had completed the preliminary electronic registration selection process for H1B visas for the 2022 financial year.
These visas are crucial for Indian IT professionals going to work in the US. The U.S. Center for Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) says applications for these visas will be selected by lottery.
H1B visas are mandatory for foreign professionals to work in US companies. These face stiff competition not only from India but also from many other countries from all around the world.
