Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley

The Minnesota Zoo is located right off SR 77 at 13000 Zoo Blvd. in Apple Valley, Minnesota. The Minnesota Zoo is the largest and best zoo in Minnesota and contains more than 2,300 animals in natural habitat settings. The Discovery Bay Marine Education Center has a shark reef and dolphin pool and a touch pool where kids can touch small sharks and sea stars. There’s also the Great Clips IMAX Theatre located on the grounds which shows not just animal films in IMAX but also Hollywood blockbusters and it has 3D for movies like Avatar.

Como Park Zoo and Conservatory in St. Paul

The Como Park Zoo in St. Paul, Minnesota is located at 1225 Estabrook Drive. Animals at the Como Park Zoo include zebras, giraffes, polar bears, Galapagos Tortoise, cougars, lions, Siberian Tigers, snow leopards, penguins, bison, orangutans, gorillas and Minnesota timber wolves. Sea lion shows are presented daily in summer. Also in the park is the Marjorie McNeeley Conservatory where exotic plants can be viewed year round. There’s also amusement rides available for the kids here.

Lake Superior Zoo in Duluth

The Lake Superior Zoo is located at the junction of 72nd Ave West and Grand Ave in Duluth, Minnesota. Hundreds of species from around the world are on display at the Lake Superior Zoo including polar and grizzly bears, Siberian tigers and the Siberian lynx, tigers, lions, snow leopards, bats, kangaroos and many exotic bird species. There is a primate conservation center on the grounds too as well as a children’s zoo for the kids.

National Eagle Center in Wabasha

The National Eagle Center is located at 50 Pembroke Ave in Wabasha, Minnesota and is dedicated to educating the public about eagles. The center is home to bald eagles and golden eagles and you can learn all about them at the National Eagle Center.

Pine Grove Park and Zoo in Little Falls

The Pine Grove Park and Zoo is located on SR 27 just 1 mile west of Little Falls, Minnesota. Set amongst one of the last White Pine groves in Minnesota the Pine Grove Zoo is home to a variety of exotic, native and domestic animals who live in spacious natural habitats. Bear cubs and wolf pups are among the highlights presented at the Pine Grove Zoo.
