The first match of the four-match series will be held at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium from February 5. Players from both teams are currently serving the Hotel Quarantine.

In this Test series against India and England, some of the key players of both teams are about to set a significant record.

“The results of all PCR trials in England have been negative. The England team’s quarantine is also over and the whole team will practice from Friday, a spokesman for the England and Wales Cricket Board said.

All-rounder Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, and Rory Burns did not participate in the tour of Sri Lanka. He didn’t even get along with the team. And all these three players are already practicing.

Team India pacer Jasprit Bumrah missed his last match against Australia in Brisbane due to injury. Now fully recovered, he is set to fight against England.

Bumrah, who has played 17 matches so far, has picked up 79 wickets and needs 21 wickets to reach the 100-wicket milestone in Test cricket.

Ashwin’s Hawk-eye is set on the 400th wicket, Team India veteran spinner R Ashwin has played 74 Tests and taken 377 wickets.

If Ashwin can take 23 wickets in this series of four matches, he will be the 4th Indian bowler to reach this milestone.

James Anderson, who has played 157 Tests in England, has taken 606 wickets, who needs only 14 wickets to overtake Anil Kumble, a 619-wicket, Indian bowler. With this, Anderson has become one of the few players to have taken more than 600 wickets in Test cricket.

But in the series, Anderson has a chance to beat Anil Kumble’s score.

Anderson also has the opportunity to break the record for most Test matches for England, which is to be played in four series.

Alastair Cook holds the England record for England in 161 Tests.

Joe Root is to play the 100th Test match as captain of England test cricket. Joe Root has now played 99 matches and will represent England in the 100th match, playing the first match against India.

Rooney has scored 8249 runs at an average of 49.39 so far. 19 centuries and 49 half-centuries.

Root knows that England needs to build on the work that has been done in Sri Lanka. “We’ve got to look at this as a platform, not be happy with what we’ve achieved,” he said after the test series.

“We have four very important games against the best team in the world on their own terms. We’re going to have to play right at the top of our game to win.

“We couldn’t have been in a better place to go and challenge them. That really excites me, and it should excite the rest of the band as well. We just had to stay hungry.”

Meanwhile, former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir has warned the England team.

The former India opener Gautam Gambhir believes the touring England team cannot win a single match in the 4-match Test series.
