Union Minister of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Jitendra Singh said Wednesday stripping of Article 370 in Constitution for the Jammu and Kashmir has kindled aspirations of the youth and new leaf will be turned in the development of the state.
The MP from Udhampur added that the Article 370 had paved the path of unreasonable mental barriers and this resulted with isolation of youths.
Singh further said, “The very realization of freedom from Article 370 has kindled youth aspirations across Jammu and Kashmir.”
The stripping of Article 370 from Indian Constitution has taken away special status of Jammu and Kashmir state. The resolution was passed with 351 favorable votes and 72 against it in the Lok Sabha.
The bill, approved by Rajya Sabha too, also bifurcated the state into two – Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
Singh continued saying that incredible new avenues have now been opened for the youths of Jammu and Kashmir without any interference, intimidation or intrusion from any quarter.
He added that until now the youths of Kashmir had always lived with a subconscious feeling of being different from their peers in India.
He recalled the words of Home Minister Amit Shah in Lok Sabha that within a period of five years the visible positive outcomes could be seen in Jammu and Kashmir.
