Kansas City offers two great options of entertaining, family-friendly hotels. On the Kansas side, the Great Wolf Lodge provides an indoor water park and many additional activities for the family. Kansas City, Missouri offers Holiday Inn, with the indoor swim park, CoCo Key.

The Great Wolf Lodge is located in the Legends Shopping Center in Kansas City, Kansas. The center provides a large variety of entertainment and dining, including: Cabela’s outdoor sports store, several outlets shops (Nike and Gap, included), a Dave and Buster’s arcade, and a movie theater.

The hotel boasts nine unique suite options, from a basic room to a more luxurious two-floor suite (which can host up to eight guests). All of the rooms include:

a microwave
a mini-refrigerator
four guest passes to the hotel’s indoor water park (good for the day of check-in and the day of check-out)

The hotel water park includes family-friendly features, such as:

a toddler pool with shallow water and small slides
an interactive tree house with water guns, water sprays and a large dumping bucket
a lazy river
three water slides (including one that takes the rider outside the building for a turn)
an activity pool (with water basketball)
a seasonal outdoor water park
whirlpool tubs (one for families and another for adults only)

The Great Wolf Lodge really is a resort, with a full-range of entertainment options. In addition to the water park, the hotel also provides an arcade, a restaurant, a gift shop, a spa and a fitness room.

Kansas City’s Holiday Inn is located close to the Truman Sports Complex, home of both the Royals and the Chiefs. The hotel sits within 10 miles of downtown Kansas City including popular attractions, such as Crown Center and the Power and Light District.

The hotel offers two basic room styles, a room with one king-sized bed or a room with two double beds. Both choices include:

a refrigerator (upon request)
wireless high speed internet (for an additional fee)
four passes to the water park (good for day of check-in and day of check-out)

The hotel water park is family-friendly, with features for everyone, including:

Kansas City’s Holiday Inn hotel meets all guests’ entertainment and dining needs, with additional features, including a restaurant and lounge, a Starbucks coffee shop, a gift shop, a fitness center and an arcade.

Both hotels offer a fun get-away for families. The Great Wolf Lodge offers more room options and additional entertainment features. The lodge’s water park is also slightly larger. However, CoCo Key tends to be more reasonably priced, and it is an equally fun and family-friendly water park hotel.
