Winning World Cup is more focused than match against Pakistan: Kohli 1

Staying focused in the tournament is the bigger goal for team India this World Cup as it does not ends with a match against Pakistan, said captain Virat Kohli.

India to face Pakistan on Sunday, the first clash between the two teams in WC2019, in Manchester and ahead of it much limelight has been made among fans of both the sides.

Lately Kohli has been repeatedly questioned about the external pressure and hype of the much awaited India-Pakistan match and very eloquently he warded off the queries.

The skipper said, “The game starts at a certain time and finishes at a certain time. So this is not going to last a lifetime, if you do well or even if you don’t.”

Kohli has a bigger picture in the tournament. He believes in winning the World Cup and this is something that matters the most.

He talked about bad weather in Manchester and said it is not in the hands of anyone and so all the eleven guys need to be mentally prepared to do as per call of the day.

When asked about Virat vs Amir battle the captain responded to the electronic media he would not like to say anything on it just to create TRP or exciting news point.

However, Kohli did mention the good Pakistani bowlers are to be studied well.

He said his guys need to wary about strengths of bowlers and have self-belief to score against any bowler.

About his fans he said they cannot be dictated to think in one particular manner and so mindset of players is comparatively different.
