The RCB pacer said, “The confidence of doing well in IPL will give me a big boost. If I get a chance in World Cup, I hope to do well.”

The Haryana lad added that his dad has always told him to give his 110 percent effort and so he is putting the extra effort in matches as well as in practice sessions.

Apart from IPL this season the 26-year-old had a splendid domestic season too playing for Delhi.

Playing against Kolkata Knight Rides on Friday at Eden Gardens he returned with figures 1/31.

Impressed with the bounce of Eden Gardens he said, “I have bowled on other wickets but never generated this kind of bounce anywhere. The plan was to bowl length deliveries as I was getting that extra bounce.”

Earlier this week Virat Kohli became the highest run-scorer in the T20 cricket. He surpassed Suresh Raina during his innings of 67 on Saturday in RCB’s run chase against KXIP in Mohali.

Suresh Raina is credited with 8145 runs in the shortest format of cricket playing in 309 matches and 293 innings.

Suresh and Virat are the only two players to have scored more than 5000 runs in IPL.
