Discovery To Air Documentary On Thai Cave Rescue Operation 1

The world will come to know how the twelve Thai boys and soccer coach were rescued from a flooded cave. Discovery channel will be broadcasting a documentary on Operation Thai Cave Rescue.

The rescue was undoubtedly extraordinary of the boys aged between 11 to 16 years and their 25-year-old coach at the Tham Luang mountain cave complex close to Myanmar border very recently.

The young football players of Wild Boars team went to explore the cave but unfortunately heavy rain flooded the caves and as an aftermath they went deeper. The rescue attracted global attention and operation included use of Thai Navy Seals, drones, national police and local vounteers.

During the rescue a 37-year-old Navy Seal officer Saman Kunan lost his life. However, all the boys were evacuated safely with only some minor injuries.

The Discovery’s documentary will cover the sudden disappearance of the boys, the operation as well as final rescue.

It is learned there are more two similar movies are in work.

Synopsis of the documentary reads, “Produced in association with ITN Productions, Discovery’s OPERATION THAI CAVE RESCUE unpacks the human and scientific drama behind one of the most difficult and heart-palpitating rescues attempted in human history.”

The documentary will be aired on July 20 on Discovery Channel, Discovery HD World, Discovery Science and Discovery Turbo.

Meanwhile, the boys will be briefing the press soon and it is an worry to the doctors how they would react considering their age.
