Various race of species is declining day by day extinction is not a rare term now. Hundreds of spices are on the verge of extinction. Most of these animals we see now might become history in the near future.
Due to the lack of animal conservation laws, hunting, slaughtering, and various other reasons we can see the rapid fall in the animal population.
Here is a list of rarest animals on the planet:
The Vaquita
The vaquita is the rarest and smallest marine mammal on the planet. Found in 1958 in the regions of Mexico and California the small dolphins with great grey fins and a dark eye-ring.is extinct ever since. In 2014 only 100 vaquita’s were left, today only 30 of them are in the wilderness. The reason for the death of these vaquitas is due to illegal fishing.
Snow Leopard
The Snow Leopard is one of the rarest animals found in the Himalayan regions of India. Snow leopards have thick fur, smoky grey skin with long fangs.
The snow leopard is found in Uttarakhand and the Himalayan National Park, Himachal Pradesh, and the Nanda Devi National Park.
The Pygmy Three-Toed Sloth
Sloth is known for its extremely slow pace; some people even call the pygmy three-toed sloth has a lazy creature. Sloths can be found in the islands of Panama. The species are rapidly declining due to environmental change. Experts have said the population of sloths is under 100 and is depleting rapidly.
The Florida Panther
Living in the woods and swamps of South Florida, USA the Florida panthers are endangered cougars’ species. In 1970 only 20 of these rare panthers were left but due to the government’s strict measures, the number rose up to 230 in the year 2017.
Human interference is the greatest threat to these species.

Red Panda
Also known as red-cat bears these little furballs nest in the bamboo trees.
With fewer than 10,000 left in the wild, they might not be around for a long time. Almost 50% of red pandas are found in the eastern Himalayan region.
A drop in the number of these lovely creatures is caused due to the reducing number of nesting trees and bamboo trees.
They are also found in Khangchendzonga National Park, West Bengal.
Darwin’s Fox
Darwin’s fox is named after Charles Darwin as he was the one to discover fox in the year 1834.
Darwin fox is found in two parts of the world i.e., in chile and Nahuelbuta National Park. Darwin foxes are found only in early dusk and dawn.
Darwin fox decline of habitat is due to hunting.
The Rondo Dwarf Galago
The tiny rondo dwarf galago habitats in the Tanzania coastal region. Galago weighs around 60 grams and is described as a brush tail, dark eyes.
Their population at this stage is severely threatened, the population decline measurably due to logging.
Large-tooth Sawfish
The large sawfish can grow up to six feet long and are characterized by the attribute that resembles a lateral saw.
The sawfish can live up to 30 years, but due to overfishing, they remain critically endangered. The large-tooth sawfish are so rare that their population is critical to estimate.
Peruvian Spider Monkey
The Peruvian spider monkey is also known as the Guiana spider monkey is found in the higher regions of the Amazon Rainforest. These monkeys are important for conserving the rainforest’s ecosystem because they mostly eat fruit and scatter the seeds as they swing from tree to tree.
The number has declined by 50% since 1970. The destruction of the rainforest and hunting are primarily responsible for their decreasing population.
